 ATV or Snowmobile on over 500 miles of groomed trails.  In the winter, a sledding trip up to see the famous snow ghosts of Two Top can't be beat. Hill climbing up Mt. Jefferson gives the serious snowmobile "marker" opportunities to show off skills.  These same trails are available for ATV and dirt bike use during the summer. 

Water ski on Island Park Reservoir or Hebgen Lake,  hike miles of trails to lakes and waterfalls.  Visit Johnny Sack Cabin and Big Springs, and tour state parks such as Harriman and Mesa Falls.

Hunting Island Park style provides some of the best and most varied hunting in the west -- from the trophy species of moose, bighorn sheep and mountain goat to the common deer.  Bear, mountain lion and waterfowl are hunted here as well. 

Island Park Idaho rentals also make the perfect base camp for Yellowstone, only about half an hour away from Yellowstone's most convenient entrance.  From the west entrance, it is only 14 miles to the major junction inside Yellowstone. As the nation's first national park, Yellowstone offers amazing geological features, including Old Faithful, and beautiful waterfalls, canyons and thermal pots. There are also many opportunities for hiking and fishing in Yellowstone. 

West Yellowstone provides fun shopping and dining experiences, The Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center, and guided tours into Yellowstone.  There is also a summer rodeo halfway in-between West Yellowstone and Island Park.
