Common questions you may have about renting a vacation home in Island ParkQ: When do we receive driving directions and the keys to the property? A: About a week before your arrival we will send you an email with driving directions and the lock box code for the cabin. Most of our cabins have a lock box near the door -- just enter the code and the key will be inside waiting for you. Keep the key in the lock box, and you will never get locked out or lose the key, and members of your party can come and go without worrying about keys. For Bill's Island Retreat, which does have a key, the key will be mailed to you prior to your arrival. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: Do we need to meet anyone from Island Park Lodging to get into the cabin? A: No. We would be happy to meet you and walk you through the cabin if you would like, but all you need is the code to the lock box. This way you are not pressured to arrive by a certain time. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: Do you have a list of area activities, shopping, etc? A: Yes -- Our "Area Guide" tab on the home page has several categories you will find useful in planning your vacation. Please check back often as we are constantly updating. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: What do we need to do when we leave the cabin? A: Generally speaking, you will need to make sure to take all trash to the dump and check the cabin thoroughly for your personal belongings. Strip all used beds of sheets and pillowcases and put in the laundry room, wash all towels and start a load of sheets. Do dishes -- they can be left clean in the dishwasher. If you do not want to hassle with transporting leftover food, you may leave unused food in the refrigerator or panty. Lock all windows and doors and be sure the key is left in the lock box. Turn thermostats down to 50 degrees. Detailed instructions are provided at each cabin. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: How do I get a hold of someone if I need assistance: A: For cabin issues or help finding the cabin, you can reach Becky @ 208-360-6778 or Roger @ 208-360-5543. You can also reach them @ 208-558-0194. For reservation questions please call Debbie @ 208-360-7224. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: How long does it take to get to Yellowstone? A: Island Park is 20 miles long. At the north end of Island Park, it takes about 15 minutes to get to Yellowstone's west entrance. From Macks Inn it takes about 25 minutes, and from Last Chance it takes 35-40 minutes. The west entrance is by far the most central and convenient entrance to the park's most popular features. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: What is the entrance fee to Yellowstone?
